Original Marching Band Compositions and Arrangements
Give your band the advantage of all-new, original music written especially for you and your students. Hide any weaknesses in instrumentation and write for strengths like strong sections or soloists. Match the director's personality and style to create a show that really fits the staff and students. Imagine performing at contests and festivals with music that is totally fresh and original! Many existing full-show compositions and arrangements are available exclusively from Tim Hinton, Inc. Each was created with a complete show concept in mind and all have been used successfully by bands in the past. I give only one band in any area the exclusive use of a show each year. NEW SHOWS FOR 2010:

Carmen (medium-advanced)
The fiery brilliance of a sophisticated Spanish production paired with crowd-friendly familiar melodies. This contemporary and innovative take on Bizet's famous score is wildly energetic and full of lush harmonies and surprises. Drum parts by Clif Walker available.

Dark Event (medium)
Written for a small band, this through-composed production explores dark sounds and moods. It uses original music paired with the famous “Dies Irae”, the brilliant and spooky “Totentanz” by Liszt, and the brassy and heroic “Symphonie Funebre et triomphale” by Berlioz. Playable and effective for smaller groups.

Dreamscape (medium)
Original music takes the audience through a dreamscape of moods and surprises. The playable score allows for a visual feast while exploring bees, butterflies and flowers, True Love, and the nightmare of a chase scene. Drum parts available from Clif Walker.

Opposing Forces (medium)
This unexpected take on the classic “Light vs. Dark” production uses music from Beethoven's 5th and 9th Symphonies paired with Dvorak's “New World Symphony”—a crowd-friendly way to perform a classical show with a great visual theme. Drum parts available.

Stravinsky (medium-advanced)
This non-stop production features music from “Firebir” and “Petrushka,” paced for maximum variety and effect. A show with energy, sophistication, and class. Drum parts available.

Triathlon (medium)
Swimming / Biking / Running
An innovative concept full of visual possibilities using all-original music full of energy and athletic melodies. Your audience will feel smart as each section of the show is musically descriptive of each sport and lends itself to simple and effective visuals. Drum parts by Clif Walker available.
